Save the Mesa Provides Emergency Funds for Dana Adobe Repair
Additional $5,000 Pledged

Save the Mesa has donated $2,000 to the Dana Adobe for emergency repair of Nipomo's historic landmark. Last month's heavy rainstorms damaged the south wall of the adobe structure, threatening the integrity of the entire building. Save the Mesa responded with a $2,000 contribution to provide temporary repairs until a more substantial renovation of the wall can be undertaken.

Herb Kandel, President of the Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos (DANA), expressed gratitude of this "generous gift to posterity" that will be used for temporary repairs and to generate additional restoration funds for the building. The contribution was presented at the February 11, 2006 meeting of the DANA Board of Directors.

In addition, Save Mesa has pledged $5,000 in matching funds to the Dana Adobe for all donations DANA can raise between February 1 and June 1 of this year. The DANA fund raising project could bring a combined total of $10,000 by June if they are successful acquiring the matching tax-deductible contributions. Δ
