Save the Mesa and co-sponsor, Nipomo Parks Conservancy, are presenting a Board of Supervisors Candidate Forum on April 22 from 1:30-3:30 PM at the Nipomo Community Service District building at 148 Wilson St. in Nipomo.
Candidates Katcho Achadjian, Judith Wirsing, and Chris McSweeney have filed to run for 4th District Supervisor, representing Nipomo, Oceano, Halcyon, Arroyo Grande and part of southern San Luis Obispo in the Edna Valley area. Candidates will be asked questions prepared for them in advance, and a question and answer period will follow. The forum will be videotaped and replayed on local cable channel 21.
Katcho Achadjian, the incumbent, has been a member of the Board of Supervisors since 1998.
Judith Wirsing has been a member of the Nipomo Community Services District Board of Directors since 2000. She is a Nipomo resident and owns a small business in Grover Beach.
Chris McSweeney is a Cypress Ridge resident and a local sales representative.
