Save the Mesa's next general meeting is on Sept. 9, at 148 Wilson in the Nipomo Community Services Building. The meeting is from 1:30 to 3:30.

Our speakers will be Rosemary Wilvert who is with the the County Coalition for Local Control (CCLC). They are against measure J (the Dalido project) and will be making a presentation about their position. Ernie Dalidio's public relations person declined our invitation to come and present their point of view.

In addition to Rosemary (who....by the way was just named the SLO Poet Laureaute), Bruce Buel, the new General Manager for the NCSD, will make a presentation about the comments and letters that have been sent to the NCSD about the DEIR.

And, lastly, the final days of Save the Mesa's matching funds program are upon us. Ride Nipomo and the Land Conservancy groups will be there on Sat., Sept 9 to receive their checks. Call Marianne Buckmeyer at 489-8384 or 801-6949 for info.

Do come....this is the last general meeting for 2006 and it'll be a nice way to wrap up stuff.
